Aussie Broadband launches challenger brand Buddy Telco with all NBN plans under $100
Aussie Broadband has launched a new digital first challenger brand – Buddy Telco – to offer Australian NBN customers even better value with all plans priced at less than $100.
Buddy Telco will offer NBN 25, 50, 100 and 1000 plans at launch with users able to receive support through the Buddy Telco app, on the website and through live chat.
The same infrastructure and automation used by Aussie Broadband will be used to power Buddy Telco.
These plans are available now:
– Standard NBN 25/10 Unlimited for $65
– Value NBN 50/20 Unlimited for $75
– Speedy NBN 100/20 Unlimited for $85
– Zoomy NBN 1000/50 Unlimited for $99
“Our aim is to really simplify the NBN experience by removing as many barriers as
possible,” Phillip Britt, Aussie Broadband Group Managing Director, said.
“We’re thrilled to launch Buddy Telco, a truly digital-first offering for Australians after a fast, no-frills internet service that’s always there when you need it,” Britt added.
“The Buddy Telco app and website provides full self-service functionality, while the award-winning infrastructure and network behind Buddy ensures top stability and speeds when you need it most.”
Buddy has been designed as a self-service model where customers can use their existing modem slash router to reduce unnecessary costs.
Aussie Broadband will invest around $10 million in FY25 to fund marketing, brand and setup costs another operating expenditure to support the Buddy launch.
Buddy has set a goal of 100,000 customers within three years and will lean on Aussie Broadband’s experience in scaling in a competitive arena.
Aussie Broadband says it will also maintain its current main brand marketing activity and focus on driving growth across both brands.
