New Bose Quiet Comfort 45 headphones have better noise cancellation and longer battery life
Bose has introduced the new QuietComfort 45 headphones – the long-awaited replacement for the beloved QuietComfort 35 – with improvements to noise cancellation, a new Aware mode and 24-hour battery life.
The Bose QuietComfort 45 have had a re-design while still retaining the hallmarks that made the QC35s so popular.
They offer the same level of comfort and stability while still being durable and lightweight.
Priced at $499.95, the Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones will be available to order from September 13 and will go on sale on October 4.
The QC45s have two modes – Aware and Quiet – and uses a new noise cancellation system as well as a new electronics package.
In Quiet mode, the active noise cancellation kicks in after using internal and external microphones to sense and measure ambient sound before removing any unwanted mid-range frequencies usually heard on public transport, aboard an aircraft, cafes and busy office spaces.
Users can also switch to Aware mode which offers full transparency when you need it so you can easily hear your surroundings without removing the headphones.
The Bose QC45 headphone also offer clear call quality thanks to a beam-forming microphone array which can isolate the user’s voice and dampen other background sounds.
That means the headphones can be used for video meetings and Zoom calls.
There are four buttons on the right earcup for volume and power and answering calls.
The left earcup has a button to allow users to toggle between Quiet and Aware modes and to mute the mic.
On the battery side, the Bose QC45 headphones offer 24-hours playback and can be fully recharged through the USB-C port in two hours.
A quick 15-minute charge is enough for three hours of playback.
The Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones will be priced at $499.95 and will go on sale on October 4 with pre-orders available from September 13.
