Amazon has expanded its eero lineup with eero Max 7 – its first Wi-Fi 7 mesh router to offer faster speeds and improve performance.
Under the hood of the eero Max 7 is the company’s patented TrueMesh networking technology which now includes the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard to ramp up speeds, reduce interference from nearby networks and improve mesh latency.
It offers 10 Gigabit Ethernet which means you can download a 4K movie in 10 seconds or A50GB video game in under a minute.
The eero tri-band mesh system supports 2.4, 5 and 6GHz radio bands with speeds up to 4.3Gbps and wired speeds up to 9.4Gbps.
Also on board are two 10 and two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports to support wired devices like smart TV’s and gaming consoles and allow customers to take advantage of internet plans up to 10Gbps.
One eero Max 7 unit can cover 230 square metres.
“We know Australians love to stream sport, movies and TV, game, work from home, connect with loved ones overseas and use an ever-increasing number of connected devices,” said Nick Weaver, CEO and co-founder of eero.
“Connectivity is crucial to their everyday lives. Alongside being easy-to-use, fast, and secure, reliability is core to our mission, and this has been front and centre with the introduction of eero Max 7 and eero Pro 6E.”
Amazon has also introduced the eero Pro 6E with support for plans up to 2.5Gbps.
