Nokia goes back to the future with revival of the iconic 3210 mobile phone

A quarter of a century ago, the Nokia 3210 was one of the most popular smartphones on the planet and it is now making a comeback.

This comes at a time when Australians are looking for simpler devices that offer a digital detox and a move away from social media.

The iconic device from HMD Global, priced at $120, will fill many Australians with nostalgia.

It will be offered in three colours – Scuba Blue, Y2K Gold and Grunge Orange – and is aimed at those customers who want the simplicity of a phone whose best features are phone calls and texts.

The Nokia 3210 is joined by three other feature phones which offer similar simplicity – the Nokia 215, 225 and 235 which are also available in a range of colours and start at just $79.

Last year HMD saw sales of the Nokia 2660 Flip Phone double as people look to return to “dumbphones” to reclaim time usually lost to scrolling through social media and answering emails on the move.

The updated 3210 has a slick updated design and comes with the essential features you’d need including a 2-megapixel camera with flash and torch and a long lasting 1450mAh battery that will last for days.

And it wouldn’t be the Nokia 3210 if it didn’t have the Snake game which is also back onboard

All the new Nokia devices offer 4G connectivity and VoLTE compatibility so they will work perfectly well after the 3G networks shut down.

The Nokia 225 4G has a 2.4 inch LCD display and 0.3 megapixel camera with flash along with Bluetooth connectivity, a 1450mAh battery and it’s available in two colours – Pink and Dark Blue.

The Nokia 235 4G has everything you’ll find on the Nokia 215 4G but with a slightly larger screen.

The Nokia 235 has a 2-megapixel rear camera and comes in Blue, Black and Purple.

The Nokia 215 4G comes in Peach, Black and Dark Blue.

And yes, they all come with Snake.
