Motorola’s new Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion smartphones combine style and performance

Motorola has revealed its to new Edge devices – the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion – which introduce AI capabilities along with sleek and ultrathin designs.

Motorola says the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion combine style and performance and include an advanced camera system with AI enhancements.

MOTOROLA EDGE 50 PRO – $999

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a sandblasted aluminium frame and has a vegan leather finish in two colours – Black Beauty and Luxe Lavender as well as a special edition pearl finish in Moonlight Pearl.

The device has a near borderless 6.7-inch pOLED display with the Super HD resolution of 1220p and a 144Hz refresh rate.

It has a 50-megapixel main camera with the widest aperture available the smartphone (f/1.4) which lets in 64 per cent more light to dramatically improve low light performance.

It also has a 50-megapixel front facing camera – one of the highest resolution selfie cameras available on a smartphone.

Also on border are AI camera capabilities including adaptive stabilisation, autofocus tracking and long exposure mode so you can take your photography to a whole new level.

Audio-wise, it incorporates Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking when paired with the new Moto Buds+.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro also includes two large stereo speakers, so it sounds as good as it looks.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform with 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

It also has 125W TurboPower charging capabilities which can give you enough power to last the whole day in just 5 minutes.

It also has fast 50W TurboPower wireless charging capabilities as well to allow you to charge up without the hassle of cords and the mess of cables.

MOTOROLA EDGE 50 FUSION – $599

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is aimed at the mid-tier market and comes in vibrant colours while sporting an ultra-thin contoured design.

Colour choices include Forest Blue or Marshmallow Blue with a vegan leather backing or Hot Pink which uses a finer pattern in its finish.

The device has an IP68 rating and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to ensure it is up to day to day use and resilient against dust, water and accidental drops.

On the camera side, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion camera system features a 50 megapixel main ultra-pixel camera with a Sony sensor and optical image stabilisation along with a 30 megapixel ultra-wide camera.

There is also a 32-megapixel front selfie camera with Quad Pixel technology to improve low light sensitivity.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has a 6.7-inch FHD+ endless edge pOLED display which offers impressive brightness and colour accuracy and a 14 Hz refresh rate.

It also has support for Dolby Atmos for immersive audio and a 5000mAh battery that can be refuelled through the 68W TurboPower charging to get you through the whole day with just a 15 minute charge.
