Samsung unveils its latest OLED TV range designed for Australian homes
Samsung has released its first new TV for 2024 – the S95D OLED – which is running a world-first anti-glare technology to preserve colour accuracy and reduce reflections.
The Samsung OLED S95D will be available in 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch and has been built for bright and open Australian homes.
The OLED Anti-Glare technology helps maintain brightness and image sharpness while a new hard-coating layer and surface coating pattern can overcome the trade-off that comes with gloss and reflection.
In fact, the Samsung S95D OLED has been verified as “Glare Free” by Underwriters Laboratories – an independent safety science company.
“We know Australians take great pride in their living and entertainment areas, with the TV often the centrepiece of not just the room, but Australians’ homes,” says Jeremy Senior, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics Australia.
“With that in mind, as we unveil our latest innovation, we’re thrilled to introduce a new era of television viewing that promises to redefine entertainment standards.
“Our insights show that Anti-Glare technology is a top priority for consumers when purchasing a TV, and at Samsung, we’re proud to play a part in redefining the landscape by bringing this world-first feature to our OLED range.
“With many Australians’ living in bright or light-filled rooms, this new technology helps to ensure Australians can enjoy a low interruption viewing experience, regardless of their TV preference.”
The Samsung S95D OLED is powered by the NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor and has more than 8 million self-illuminating pixels which also include three sub-pixels (Quantum Dot red and green and OLED blue).
The Samsung OLED is the first to be Pantone-validated HDR OLED.
Also under the hood is the Quantum HDR OLED and powerful 4K upscaling which can offer up to 70 per cent brighter than OLED HDR+ so viewers can enjoy brighter colours and deeper blacks.
The Samsung OLED TVs also have Motion Rate 200 so it’s great for watching sport and action movies.
And it not only looks good but sounds great as well thanks to the built-in True Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound which creates an impressive and immersive experience.
On the design side, the Samsung OLED is just 11.2mm thick so it will suit a home’s stylish décor.
