Ford unveils Mustang Mach-E electric SUV which will hit Australian roads this year
Ford has unveiled its all-new Mustang Mach-E SUV at the Australian Grand Prix and confirmed it will arrive on Australian roads later this year.
The Mach-E is the first all-electric passenger vehicle to be released by Ford Australia and will be available in three variants that will offer the latest tech and an excellent driving experience while still maintaining its Mustang heritage.
Australian Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo was on hand to make the announcement

“It’s an exciting time for electric vehicles in Australia, and Mach-E gives us the chance to do what Mustang has done best for decades – put a smile on customer’s faces.
“We know Australians love that feeling of driving a performance car, and the Mach-E will mean they can enjoy that iconic Mustang freedom with all the benefits that an EV offers. “There’s something special about the Mach-E that you can only really understand once you get behind the wheel.”
The flagship GT model will have a 91kWh battery and dual electric motors that will offer a range of 490km and can go 0 to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds.
This will make it the fastest accelerating vehicle Ford will offer in Australia.
The GT will also include MagneRide suspension and performance brakes to take your driving experience to a new level.
Other models will include the Select and Premium variants.
All models with come with the special Untame drive mode to unleash the car’s potential with improved acceleration and braking and a refined steering response.
Inside is a comfortable and luxurious interior which includes a 15.5-inch infotainment screen running Ford’s Sync4 operating system alongside a 10.2-inch digital cluster and a ten speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
