New Rolls Royce Ghost offers ultimate luxury and comfort – and remarkable technology
Rolls Royce has revealed the new Ghost Extended in Australia which offers the height of luxury, an indulgent driving experience and a remarkable level of technology that powers amazing features.
The first deliveries of the Rolls Royce Ghost Extended will be made in early 2021.
Ghost Extended has 170mm more space than Ghost with designers cleverly camouflaging the extra length by extending only the rear door and preserving the lines of the car.
On the technology side, the Rolls Royce is brimming with innovation that offers convenience and comfort.
The ceiling of the cabin has intricate lighting to simulate a starry sky complete with shooting stars.
The rear Serenity Seats have the dimensions and comfort of a business class jet cabin complete with a cutting edge infotainment system, access to wi-fi and an audio solution that was created in-house by Rolls Royce’s engineers.
Between the rear seats is a champagne fridge to keep the bubbly chilled to the optimum temperature of six degrees centigrade as recommended by a Master Sommelier and 11 degrees for vintage champagne.
The Rolls Royce Ghost also has a Micro Environment Purification (MEPS) to maintain ambient air quality.
The technology also extends to the laser headlights which offer more than 600m of illuminated range and vision assist with a daytime and night-time wildlife and pedestrian warning system.
The Rolls Royce Ghost is built on the architecture of the proprietary all-aluminium space frame with a planar suspension system to provide the marque’s trademark smooth magic carpet ride.
Also onboard are continuously variable and electronically controlled shock absorbers with self-levelling high volume air strut assemblies and a world-first upper wishbone damper.
The Rolls Royce Ghost Extended has a 6.75-litre twin turbocharged V12 engine yet offers a silent ride courtesy of 100kg of damping materials that are incorporated into the body and the chassis and tyres.
The craftsmanship is also evident through the cabin to the sumptuous leather seats and the new woodgrain finishes developed especially for the Rolls Royce Ghost – obsidian ayous and dark amber.
The Rolls Royce Ghost is priced from $680,000 while the Ghost Extended will be priced from $740,000.
