LG reveals its 2022 TV range – led by its flagship OLED models in even larger sizes

LG has revealed its stunning 2022 television line-up at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, including its impressive flagship OLED TVs, which boast impressive new imaging technologies and smart features.

LG continues to lead the way in OLED with its self-illuminating pixels providing deep blacks and stunning colour along with incredible contrast.

And without a backlight, OLED TVs are much thinner and lighter than other display technologies.

This gives LG a lot of room to move when it comes to innovation and form factors including bendable and rollable TVs.
In 2022, the LG OLED panels will include the new G2 Series which will feature the OLED evo technology for improved brightness and impressive clarity and detail.

LG’s OLED TVs have been certified by Intertek, a global product testing agency, for 100 per cent colour fidelity and 100 per cent colour volume.

LG OLED panels are also the first in the world that meet the low blue light emission requirement of Eyesafe, a US-based health standards agency.

Filmmaker mode is also returning to the LG 2022 TV OLEDs so film buffs can watch movies as the creators intended them to be seen without artificial motion smoothing or other enhancements.

Under the hood is the new LG A9 Gen 5 intelligent processor with the Brightness Booster technology providing more brightness through improved heat dissipation and advanced algorithm.

And LG has taken notice of the current trend of customers opting for larger televisions.

The LG 2022 G2 series will now include an 83-inch model and the world’s first 97-inch OLED model in addition to its current 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch TVs in the range.

On the design side the LG G2 has a sleek refined style with a flush mounting system so the TV looks like a work of art hanging on your wall.

LG OLED TVs are also a perfect match for gamers with a 1ms response time, low input lag and up to four HDMI ports that support multiple HDMI 2.1 features.

The LG C2 series also comes in several screen sizes including the world’s first 42-inch OLED TV – an ideal choice for console and PC gamers.

The C2 will also be available in 48-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 83-inch sizes.

The LG smart TV platform has also been upgraded with a refreshed user interface to make content discovery faster and more convenient.

LG has also expanded its QNED Mini-LED line-up of televisions in 2022 which boast LG Quantum Dot NanoCell technology for 100 per cent colour volume and impressive colour reproduction.

The latest webOS now allows customers to create personal profiles for a more customised viewing experience with each profile offering quick access to their favourite streaming services as well as tailored content recommendations that’s based on what they’ve watched.

Users can log into their personal profile from the TV’s browser or from their smartphone with NFC Magic Tap.

NFC Magic Tap also provides a fast way to mirror a mobile device to the LG screen.

Another cool new feature is being able to mirror content from one LG TV to another in your home using Room to Room Share.

This will allow users to view pay TV content on another TV via the wireless connection in their home without having to add a second set top box.

With LG’s ThinQ AI, the 2022 LG TV’s will also become a central smart home hub which offers voice control as well as support for Matter – the new smart home industry standard that will bring all brands of smart home devices onto a single unified platform.

Pricing for the LG 2022 TV line-ups will be announced closer to release.
