Coles to offer a refurbished iPhone for $259 after partnership with Boost Mobile

From this week, Coles customers doing their weekly shop will be able to pick up a refurbished Apple iPhone after forming a partnership with Boost Mobile.

Starting Wednesday, Coles customers will be able to purchase a fully refurbished Apple iPhone 7 32GB at the promotional price of $259.

The unlocked iPhone comes in premium Boost packaging and also includes a $10 Boost Mobile SIM card, which connects to the Telstra 4G network, to get you started.

Each refurbished iPhone undergoes a rigorous 72-point inspection to make sure the device is genuine and in tip-top condition and excellent shape.

All of the phones are Australian-compliant and have been fully restored and data wiped and have also been cross checked against the national police lost and stolen database.

For added peace of mind , the phones also come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee as well as a 12 month warranty .

Boost became the first major pre-paid supplier to offer customers refurbished smartphones in July 2019.

This new partnership with Coles highlights the company’s commitment to delivering value while at the same time improving sustainability by extending the useful life of high quality devices like the iPhone.

“Coles has had a strong mobile phone offering for many years, and this partnership with Boost to offer quality refurbished smartphones is another great way we can deliver value for our customers in a more sustainable way,” said, Coles General Manager Non-Food, Jonathan Torr.

The $259 Boost Mobile refurbished Apple iPhone 7 is a great option for customers looking to purchase their first smartphone or perhaps a device for their child.

A recent survey commissioned by Boost Mobile found that 56 per cent of parents of children aged 10 to 17 were interested in buying a refurbished phone while 44 per cent only wanted to spend $300 or less on a new phone for their child.

The iPhone 7 has a 12-megapixel rear camera and 7-megapixel selfie camera and includes Touch ID fingerprint scanning as well as Siri smart digital assistant.

“Australians are looking for cost-effective options more than ever before and we are excited that, after being the first to market refurbished phones last year, we can now partner with  another trusted Aussie brand in Coles to take refurbished smartphones mainstream like never before,” said Peter Adderton, founder of Boost Mobile.

“At Boost Mobile our mission is to find value for our customers and provide them with solutions that best suit their needs.

“The bundle comes with a $10 Boost Mobile introductory SIM, but savvy customers can then purchase a Boost Long Expiry recharge such as our $200 prepaid SIM, which will give them 100GB of data plus unlimited talk and text within Oz, to use over 12 months.

“That gives you an iPhone and 12 months of great service inclusions on Australia’s biggest network for $459.”

The Boost refurbished iPhone 7 will be available from Wednesday November 4 in Coles supermarkets across NSW, South Australia WA, NT and Tasmania.

It will also become available in Victoria and Queensland stores at a later date.

Boost Mobile prepaid recharge offers are available online at www.boost.com.au or at one of 12,000 retail outlets across Australia including Coles stores.

The Boost Mobile refurbished IPhone 7 with $10 Boost Mobile SIM is priced at $259 for a limited time and, once the promotional period ends, will return to its usual price of $299.
