Quickflix movie service coming to Xbox 360
QuickFlix has partnered with Microsoft for Australian and New Zealand subscribers to stream and view through the Xbox 360 console.
The service offers unlimited viewing for a monthly fee and will be available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers later this year.
The Quickflix agreement is the latest in a long list of entertainment options now available on the Xbox 360 gaming console including ABC iView, SBS On Demand, YouTube, Daily Motion and Crackle.
It also means Quickflix subscribers have yet another device which has been enabled to access the service in addition to tablets, smart TVs, smartphones and computers.
Quickflix customers have access to a range of movies from major Hollywood studios including Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, NBCUniversal, MGM and Lakeshore.
On the TV side, customers can also watch award-winning premium TV series from BBC, ITV and HBO.
“This is a great new partnership, and will bring the Quickflix streamed entertainment service to the Xbox community across both countries,” said Quickflix’s Executive Chairman, Stephen Langsford, and CEO, Chris Taylor in a joint statement.
“We’re committed to making home entertainment easier for people, and this is our latest step towards providing people the biggest choice possible of how to watch the TV shows and movies they love– whether it’s on a mobile device, smart TV or games console.”
