Bowers & Wilkins release stunning Px7 S2 noise cancelling wireless headphones
Bowers & Wilkins has unveiled the new Px7 S2 noise cancelling wireless headphones which promise to deliver even higher quality audio through an all-new acoustic platform.
Bowers & Wilkins, the respected British audio brand, has delivered an impressive replacement for the award winning PX7 that follows the company’s audio engineering philosophy.
Design-wise, the Px7 S2 has an all-new profile and construction and has been designed for comfortable wear for extended periods.
It has a slimmer overall shape and lighter than the previous model with luxuriously soft earpads an improved memory foam to enclose and cushion your ears for supreme comfort.
The new Px7 S2 delivers high resolution audio thanks to new custom designed 40mm drive units which were created specifically for headphone listening.
They offer ultra-fast response so they can reproduce every aspect of a song while still offering extremely low distortion for a more accurate high-resolution result.
And the position of the drive units has also been considered.
They are carefully angled inside each ear cup to put them at a consistent distance from the listener’s ear at every point across the surface of each driver which also allows for a more natural and immersive sound.
Also on board is Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive Wireless technology to create the best possible connection between the headphones and compatible phones, tablets and computers.
Under the hood is the powerful Bowers & Wilkins designed DSP (digital signal processing) with outstanding 24-bit high resolution sound quality from suitable streaming services.
Listeners also have the option of connecting USB-C and 3.5mm cables which are included with the headphones.
A standout for the new Px7 S2 headphones is its noise cancellation performance.
The headphones use proprietary noise cancellation technology to shut out ambient noise without affecting the quality of the music.
There are six high performance microphones that work in concert to deliver the best results with two measuring the output of each drive unit and two reacting to ambient noise and the other two providing voice clarity with improved noise suppression.
These are the first headphones that to work directly with the Bowers & Wilkins music app which can be used to pair the Px7 S2 to a mobile device as well as fine tune the sound with the included adjustable EQ.
It’s also possible to control the noise cancelling transparency mode so you can hear the outside world and monitor the headphones charge levels.
An update in the coming months will also allow users to stream their chosen music service directly from the app on their mobile device to the Px7 S2 headphones.
“I’m incredibly proud of our new Px7 S2 headphones,” says Stephanie Willems, Brand President of Bowers & Wilkins.
“They’re supremely comfortable, beautiful to look at and sound great.
“They’re the perfect way to take True Sound with you everywhere you go.”
