Snapchat is getting creative with ways for you to capture interesting images to share on the platform with the announcement of the Pixy – a flying camera to literally take your photography to new heights.
The Pixy was announced at the annual Snap Partner Summit which demonstrated how new features could be deployed on the social media platform.
The pocket-size device is actually a mini drone that takes your favourite parts of the Snapchat camera and allows you to take images and videos at an all-new angle.
And there’s no need to worry about a controller – it flies on its own.
Simply turn it on and it will float a few feet above you to capture both photos and videos.
And when you’re done simply stick out your arm and it will land right into the palm of your hand.
But the bad news for Australians is it will only be available in the US and France at this time. That may change in the future depending on demand.
