Modern technology gives us many things.

Streaming data shows we’re loving the Olympics via 9Now and Stan

The Paris Olympic Games have introduced Australians to a new generation of Gold Medallists but also a new way to watch the Games thanks to a vast amount of content on streaming platforms 9Now and Stan.

With almost every single event available Live on 9Now and Stan, it’s just a matter of choosing to watch in HD with Ads, or 4K with no Ads and then choosing what you want to watch.

Telstra has revealed some spikes in network activity on their network which can be attributed to the events that happened on those days.

Network activity spiked 20% over the usual benchmark on August 1 to see Jess Fox win gold, and on July 30th by 19% to see Mollie O’Callaghan and Ariarne Titmus battle it out in the 200m Freestyle.

When the Women’s 4 x 200m Freestyle team won Gold in the pool there was an 11.9% spike that morning too!

Aussie Broadband was able to break out the traffic on their network that Stan and 9Now was using thanks to their customers streaming all the Olympic Action.

The picture tells a thousand words – we’ve really turned on streaming these games.
