G-Technology drives provide a reliable back up for your content
When it comes to backing up for your valuable documents and cherished photos and videos, you’ll only want to trust that content with a hard drive that’s reliable.
G-Technology is already a respected name in the creative professional market for audio and video storage and workflow solutions.
Their storage products are used out in the field and in studio and offer not only high reliability but also high performance.
Consumers are faced with similar challenges as these professionals to either back up their valuable content on the go with their laptops or at home with their desktop.
G-Technology’s external hard drives have been tried and tested thoroughly by the professional community and are up to the task when it comes to handling a consumer’s storage and back-up needs.
Two of G-Technology consumer drives include the 500GB G-Drive Slim and the 1TB G-Drive Mini.
They are not the cheapest drives but strive to be the best quality drives to offer the sort of reliability and peace of mind.
G-DRIVE SLIM 500GB – $98.95
This G-Technology portable hard drive certainly lives up to its name – it’s just 10mm thick which makes it easy to take it wherever you take your laptop.
Compatible with PC and Mac, the G-Drive Slim connects with high-speed USB 3.0 but will also work, although not as quickly, when connected to a USB 2.0 port.
It has a lightweight aluminium case and is ready to work right out of the box to back up and store your content.
G-DRIVE MINI 1TB – $249.95
The G-Drive Mini has a quality build that is typical of the G-Technology range of products.
Offering either USB 3.0 or FireWire connectivity, the G-Drive Mini has an integrated heat sink so it can stay cool and operate silently.
The housing is made completely of aluminium for added durability and protection whether the device is on a desktop or in a backpack.
The G-Drive Mini is pre-formatted in HFS+ with Journaling for Mac users and will work seamlessly with the operating system’s Time Machine back-up system.
