DJI’s new Mini 2 SE drone fits in the palm of your hand and can be flown anywhere
DJI has introduced the Mini 2 SE, a new lightweight and more affordable camera drone that fits in the palm of your hand but that can still capture stunning pictures and videos.
The DJI Mini 2 SE weighs less than 249g which means it’s exempt from drone regulations in many parts of the world and doesn’t need to be registered.
And being under 250g, means you can safely fly the drone within the 5.5km range of a controlled airspace according to CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority).
The drone folds down to a size smaller than the palm of your hand so there’s no stopping you taking it with you everywhere you go.
The DJI Mini 2 SE has a 1/2.3-inch CMOS camera sensor which can capture video at 2.7K and shoot 12-megapixel photos.
The drone can also hover steadily even in high winds so your pictures and videos remain clear and stable.
Also on board is the DJI O2 transmission technology which offers a maximum video transmission range of 10 kilometres which includes anti interference capabilities.
The new DJI drone also incorporates features like intuitive flight controls including one-tap take-off and landing, stable hovering and the handy Return to Home feature.
Users can also tap into to the QuickShots which are stunning preset and automated modes to capture your surroundings.
The DJI Mini 2 SE offers a 31-minute maximum flight time on a single battery.
The DJI Mini 2 SE is priced at $599 and comes with the RC-N1 one remote controller and cables to connect your smartphone to the remote, one Intelligent Flight Battery, one spare set of propellers, a gimbal protector and a data cable.
For $799, customers can buy the DJI Mini 2 SE Fly More Combo which includes two more Intelligent Flight Batteries and two extra sets of spare propellers, a two-way charging hub, shoulder bag and propeller holder.
