Leading smart home security brand Arlo has introduced Arlo Secure 5 – a suite of AI-powered industry-first features that enable Arlo cameras to recognise people and vehicles and to learn what other notifications customers want to receive.

Arlo Secure 5 builds on Arlo’s already robust system which can detect people, parcels, vehicles and animals but it takes that to the next level with recognition powered by AI and machine learning.

Now users can train the system to recognise friends and family members along with their vehicles and choose to be notified when those people and cars are seen by the cameras.

For example, a parent can privately teach the system what their son or daughter looks like and choose to receive a notification when they get home from school.

Users will also be able to do the same with vehicles that come into their driveway with the added ability of personalising alerts for vehicles they know.

The system shows detection and recognition are two different things and the customer can choose which of those notifications to receive.

Arlo Secure 5 also includes custom detection which allows customers to train the Arlo AI to deliver notifications about personalised events.

One use case could be wanting to know if the garage door has been left open, if lights are left on or if a pet is sitting on the couch.

Users would upload an image to train the system and teach it about what to look out for.

Then, when that event occurs, users will receive a notification so they can take action.

“Arlo continues to lead the industry with our advanced AI and Computer Vision capabilities, including custom detections, vehicle recognition and person recognition, that deliver even more peace of mind to Arlo users,” said Matthew McRae, Chief Executive Officer at Arlo.

“Our relentless focus on smart home security backed by our commitment to also protect our customers’ data and privacy will continue to drive more industry-first innovations that customers can trust to safeguard their loved ones.”

The new Arlo Secure subscription plans start at $7.99 a month with new Plus plans starting at $17.99 a month.

These offer 30 days of video cloud storage and events which you can view, save and share.

Customers are also able to create personalised notifications to filter unwanted notifications and choose the zones which they want to be monitored.

Having these meaningful notifications alert customers to what’s happening without the need for them to open the Arlo app.

This way they can take the appropriate action or respond to the rich notifications or view an animated video preview on the device’s lock screen.

Arlo Secure also brings advanced detection so users can be alerted if packages, animals and known people and known vehicles are detected by Arlo Intelligence.

Trading cryptocurrencies online has become easier than ever before. There are more exchanges, and the process is safer and easier for novice investors. The broader public is also starting to accept the use of crypto and crypto investing as a form of asset allocation.

In this article, we’ll go over a setup that any investor can create in order to start trading from home and at a timetable of their own choosing. All of the items on our list are easy to find and can be found at a wide range of prices.

Several Monitors System

Crypto trading requires investors to carefully follow the changing value of cryptocurrencies and all the other data that may impact it. The data comes in at all times and can usually be represented visually as a graph so that the investors can easily interpret it.

In order to do so, traders should invest in a good monitoring system that will allow them to trade while following the trends. There are many approaches to perfect setup, but everyone agrees you’ll need multiple monitors.

A Good Phone

A good phone is all that an investor needs to actually approve a trade – since it’s easy enough to buy crypto with PayPal. Most crypto exchanges allow users to finance their trade with fiat money and the crypto they already bought. The whole exchange of funding the crypto exchange account and making crypto trades can be done from your phone.

For trade, a good phone has a lot of processing power. The users need to be able to quickly run through a few apps, including the ones made for online trading, and analyze the relevant information.

A Secure Router

A router with advanced security features is a must for crypto trading. Every time an investor uses a router and trades crypto online, they leave their data and crypto assets vulnerable to hack attacks. Since cryptocurrencies are decentralized, they can’t be retrieved once they are transferred, even through fraudulent activity.

A secure router, therefore, needs to have VPN support and firewall protections. That way, investors can hide and change their IP addresses on a regular basis while trading online and remain as safe as possible. These security measures must also be combined with security practices during the trade.

Cold Wallet

Cryptocurrency wallets are used to store the assets once the investors withdraw them from the crypto exchange. They serve as data storage units and must be protected from hacking. The safest wallets are, therefore, the ones that can’t be hacked as they are not even connected to the internet. These are known as cold wallets.

The wallets store the keys needed to transfer the funds from one crypto account to the other. It’s equally important for these devices to be able to withstand fire, water, and physical damage since those are the only ways to damage them if they are not connected to the internet.

Uninterrupted Power Supply

A UPS protects your devices from power outages and surges, ensuring your trading activities aren’t interrupted during critical moments. UPS devices come in many different shapes and sizes, but the most important feature to look for is the battery’s size and how the device can be used when you run out of power.

Some UPS devices also have additional features, such as notifications to alert users of how much more juice they have left and the ability to stretch this supply by cutting off displays. Some UPS devices can also withstand sudden surges of power.

Ergonomic Chair

Crypto exchanges are open at all hours, and making a smart trade often requires the investor to spend hours sifting through data and making transfers. The best way to remain comfortable and healthy while doing so is to invest in an ergonomic chair. These come in a wide range of prices, but even the ones on the lower end are better than any of the ordinary chairs out there.

The key to a good ergonomic chair is the support it provides for the lower back since that’s where most back injuries related to sedentary life tend to come from.

 Noise-Canceling Headphones

Trading can be challenging work since it requires great focus, and there’s often a state in which the investor is plugged in and focused on trading alone – usually called “the zone.” One of the ways to make sure to achieve such a focus is to invest in noise-canceling headphones.

Besides the ability to cancel noise, the headphones should also be comfortable to wear for a long time since that’s how the investors will use them. Headphones such as these are a bit more expensive but worth the extra expense.

A Tracking System

In the end, the investor needs to have a tracking system that will keep close track of and store information about all the trades they’ve made and the changes in value. In order to do this, it’s best to have an outside memory storage dedicated to it, as well as a software system that records all the trades.

A system that provides notifications about changes in value can also be a valuable addition to the setup. For many investors, the most convenient way to go is to get such notifications across all the devices they may use – phones, tablets, watches, and computers. These will then provide a record of all the important events in the course of trading.

To Sum Up

To sum up, having the right gadgets can make a huge difference in your crypto trading experience. From multiple monitors for better analysis to secure routers and cold wallets for safety, these tools help you trade with confidence and efficiency.

An ergonomic chair and noise-canceling headphones ensure comfort during long sessions, while a good phone and tracking system keep you connected and informed. By investing in these gadgets, you’ll be well-equipped to navigate the fast-paced world of crypto trading, no matter where you are or when you choose to trade.

The global shift towards sustainable transportation has accelerated the demand for electric vehicles (EVs). As more consumers and businesses opt for EVs, the need for robust and efficient charging stations becomes increasingly crucial.

This blog explores the key aspects of electric vehicle charging stations, offering insights into their types and functions and the importance of collaborating with reputable energy brands to enhance their deployment and efficiency.

Understanding Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

An electric vehicle charging station is an essential infrastructure component that enables electric vehicles to recharge their batteries. These stations vary in complexity, from simple home-based chargers to advanced public charging networks that accommodate a wide range of vehicles and charging requirements.

The technology behind these stations is designed to safely and efficiently transfer electrical energy from the grid to the vehicle, ensuring that electric vehicles remain operational and ready for use.

Types of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Electric vehicle charging stations can be categorised into three primary types, each serving different needs and environments. Understanding these types is essential for deploying the right equipment for both personal and commercial applications.

  • Level 1 Charging Stations

Level 1 charging stations are the most basic form of electric vehicle chargers. They operate on a standard 120-volt outlet, making them easily accessible for residential use.

  • Level 2 Charging Stations

Level 2 charging stations offer a significant improvement in charging speed compared to Level 1. Operating on a 240-volt circuit, these stations can deliver up to 25 miles of range per hour, making them suitable for both residential and commercial use.

  • DC Fast Charging Stations

DC fast charging stations represent the pinnacle of electric vehicle charging technology. These stations operate on direct current (DC) and can provide up to 80% charge in as little as 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle’s battery capacity.

Key Components of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The effectiveness of an electric vehicle charging station is determined by its components, which work together to ensure safe and reliable charging. The following are the critical components of a well-functioning charging station:

Branding is a critical activity for any new business looking to attract customers, and tech startups are no exception. It’s vital for marketers to understand who their customers are, how their product solves a need and what the company stands for. A strong, consistent branding strategy is central to a successful business.

Branding is particularly important when it comes to the tech sector as it is often more difficult for companies selling cutting-edge solutions to convey what their products do. For modern tech companies, it is absolutely essential to at least have a website and a social media presence, but this is only the beginning.

In this article, we’ll go through some key branding strategies tech startups should take advantage of to build a loyal customer base and acquire new buyers.

Targeted Branding

Understanding the market environment that you are operating in will guide important decisions like how to word your ads and what marketing channels to use. For instance, you might choose to work with online printing services to create posters and flyers if you’re selling to older customers, while TikTok content might be best for younger audiences.

A great way to define your target market is to develop a persona for your ideal customer. This customer profile should be as detailed as possible, and should include details like age, gender, socioeconomic status and purchasing behaviour. You can even give your customer persona a physical representation. While you shouldn’t be averse to selling outside your target market, it helps to have a focus when it comes to branding activities.

Distinguishing your Brand

Besides learning about your target segment, you should also thoroughly research the competition and how they brand themselves. Look for ways to differentiate yourself from other companies in the same sector. This helps you carve out a niche in the market and helps you tailor your product and marketing strategies to reach a specific type of customer.

By understanding your competitors, you can make more informed branding decisions and grow your business.

Mission Statement

A mission statement clearly states what your business does and what it stands for. It is often used as the keystone in marketing campaigns and as the fountain from which your other creative choices spring.

A mission statement should be as brief as possible and concisely highlight your brand’s main point of differentiation. You should also list your values, as today’s consumers want to know what you stand for.

Your mission statement is the heart of your business, so make sure to draft one as early as possible.

Foster Consistency in Branding

Using the same brand elements and values across your different marketing channels strengthens the image people have of your brand. Stay consistent with regard to brand material, colours and fonts. The language you use across different platforms should also be instantly recognisable as yours.

Maintaining a consistent brand requires constant work. As a tech startup, you may not have multiple people in your team who are solely responsible for brand building. If you’re working with this constraint, consider enlisting the help of a marketing agency.

Whether you’re marketing in-house or outsourcing, ensure that all the brand material you put out is consistent.

Play with Different Brand Elements

Your brand identity is the concrete representation of your business. To create a strong brand, you need to make use of various elements, including colours, tag lines and fonts. There are an endless number of choices when it comes to developing your brand identity, so it can help to focus on a few primary elements.

When in doubt, always return to your target market. Choose brand elements that appeal to the audience you’re looking to sell to.

Develop Brand Collateral

Brand collateral comprises the physical and digital materials that your customers interact with. These can include posters, tech videos and social media ads. The sheer number of options can get overwhelming, but getting your collateral right is vital to effective marketing.

When deciding on whether or not to use a particular brand collateral, it helps to run a cost-benefit analysis beforehand. This allows you to make more data-driven decisions and spend your limited money in the most effective possible way.

Review and Evaluate

Constantly reviewing and revamping your strategies is a key to effective branding. It’s impossible to get everything right from the off, and changes to the market often necessitate brand alterations.

Customer feedback is vital to optimising your branding efforts. Develop feedback channels to track as many responses as possible from people who interact with your business. Track information like how they found your business and whether or not they made a final purchase. This information can easily be tracked using tools like AppsFlyer and Google Analytics.

Standing still is the surest way to fail in the business world. It is important to regularly assess the effectiveness of your brand strategies so you can make the necessary changes.

A strong brand can drive sales and build ties with the community, and tech companies rely heavily on their brands to stand out from the crowd and build loyalty. In this article, we’ve gone over some key tips for branding for tech startups.

By following the tips we’ve provided, you can craft a brand that will be a genuine asset for your business.

Although a Mac tends to have quite a bit of space, it’s very easy to fill it up. You use it to store your documents, projects and all kinds of stuff. Low and behold, at some point you are very low on space and don’t really know what to do. You could buy extra storage space, or you can figure out how to free up some space on your device.

Try to use the Mac’s built-in tools

Yes, the Mac platform has some great tools for helping you free up some space. Obviously you will need to do a bit more than that. But realistically, storing stuff in the iCloud can be a good way to save space. You can also optimize storage from your device, and that will also help with the process. Also, set the option to empty your Trash Bin automatically. That can be a great option to consider if you want to save space on your Mac.

Delete stuff from your Downloads folder

We all download lots of items online, and at some point the Downloads folder can be quite big. That’s why it’s a very good idea to empty the folder as often as you can. If you are someone that uses the device often, it’s a good idea to empty it once or two times a month, maybe more often. It helps you avoid situations where you end up not having enough space.

Use a cleanup tool

The role of a Mac cleanup tool is to make sure that you eliminate unwanted files from your device automatically. What’s great about this is the fact that you will have access to a vast array of tools which track unnecessary files, such as temporary files for example. Those get deleted automatically, which helps ensure your device runs smoothly and without any problems. It’s a solid approach, and it will give you a much better outcome every single time.

Start using external storage solutions

External storage is a very good option if you want to save space on your device. The best thing about it is that you can easily store stuff on a portable SSD or hard drive, even on a flash drive. In the end, that’s great because it allows you to better optimize how you work and how you manage your space. The benefit here is that external storage is plug and play, it’s very effective, and it will help make the process a lot better than expected.

Delete apps you’re not using

If you have lots of apps that you’re not using, delete them. You can go to the Applications folder to delete them, and you can also enter the Library folder to remove any of the remaining files from them. That’s a great option to think about, because it helps save time, and it will give a much better result in the end. At the same time, be mindful about what you are installing on the device, and you’ll see that you will be saving a whole lot of space.

Focus on removing large files

A good idea here is to try and remove those older files if you can. The reason why you want to target large files is because you will be getting more space back. And there’s also less stuff to delete as well. With that being said, you do want to create a backup for those large files, if they are very important. Making sure that you will remove large files is extremely important, and it will help save a significant amount of effort and time. At the end of the day, the quality is always important, so ensure that you always focus on results.

Delete old backups

You will notice that old iOS backups made by iTunes or third party tools can be quite large too. And when you do a few dozen of those, they will eat up a lot of space. Keep the latest backup or a few of them, and then delete the rest. It will be incredibly helpful!

These tips and ideas are great if you want to free up space on your Mac. It might seem difficult to free up space at first, but realistically, you need to delete stuff and perform a regular cleanup to remove unnecessary files. That, combined with a more focused approach when it comes to installing and deleting stuff will help you save a lot of effort!

In environments where energy efficiency is important power factor correction is key to saving money and cutting down on wasted energy. In this featured post, we will explore the importance of power factor correction and how it can improve efficiency and lower costs for businesses.

Exploring the Concept of the Power Factor

The power factor relates to how electrical energy is used in a system by comparing real power (measured in kW ) to apparent power (measured in kVA). A higher power factor means better energy usage, while a lower one indicates wastage due to devices, like induction motors, that draw reactive power and, therefore, need power factor correction.

The Importance of Power Factor Correction

Numerous major industries depend on motors and other machinery that function with inductive loads, leading to a reduced power factor, which increases electricity costs due to reduced energy conversion efficiency; yet, with the implementation of power factor correction solutions with the help of providers like Lakewood, businesses can effectively address these challenges.

How Exactly Does Power Factor Correction Operate?

Improving power factor includes setting up equipment like capacitors to counterbalance reactive loads and synchronise the current waveform with the voltage waveform to enhance power efficiency and optimise electricity usage.

Advantages of Correcting Power Factor

Energy efficiency has been on the rise lately, showing a trend in conserving energy resources effectively. Optimising power factor correction enhances energy efficiency and minimises wastage resulting from power factors; this leads to reduced dependence on excessive electricity usage by businesses and promotes eco-friendly energy practices.

1. Reduced Costs

Having a power factor could result in facing significant fines from utility providers because of the inefficient utilisation of energy supplied to you. Power factor correction helps avoid these penalties by getting rid of reactive power, thus enabling a reduction in the overall kilowatt demand fees on your electricity bills.

2. Enhanced Performance of Equipment

Inductive loads can have an effect on how equipment functions by requiring more current to make up for power factor issues. Producing a correction in the power factor can help create settings for equipment to operate smoothly and last longer.

Low power factors can strain transformers, electrical panels, and distribution systems. Power factor correction aids in boosting system capacity by reducing unnecessary current loads and ensuring equipment operates more smoothly.

3. Reduced Voltage Losses

Insufficient power factors can result in voltage reductions across the grid that affect operations and lead to malfunctions in delicate equipment within industrial settings. Power factor adjustment helps manage voltage variations and maintains a consistent power supply within the industrial facility.

Carrying out Power Factor Correction

To effectively carry out power factor correction measures in a business setting, an energy assessment is required to pinpoint areas that require enhancement or adjustment. Consultation with energy management professionals is key to determining the precise steps needed to rectify power factor issues and installing the required equipment while monitoring the ongoing progress of efficiency enhancements.

Challenges Encountered in the Realm of Power Factor Correction

Power factor correction comes with advantages but also presents certain hurdles that businesses must overcome for the successful implementation of sustainable solutions like greenhouse gas in managing their power usage efficiently and effectively. Here are two typical challenges that businesses may encounter when dealing with power factor correction:

1. Reactive Power Variations

Reactive power in settings can vary due to inductive loads and changing operational conditions, which can affect the power factor stability over time, necessitating regular monitoring and adjustments for optimal power correction systems performance.

2. Compatibility Issues with Existing Systems

Some electrical systems might have problems when trying to add power factor correction devices due to compatibility issues that could arise. Businesses should take into account factors like voltage levels and system capacity as well as harmonics before choosing the right solutions for this issue. Getting guidance from experts while implementing these solutions can effectively tackle these challenges related to compatibility.

Summary

Implementing power factor correction is crucial for businesses looking to boost energy efficiency and cut down on electricity expenses. In settings like industries and manufacturing organisations, reduced fines and improved electricity system performance can benefit them and contribute to sustainable energy practices. Integrating power factor correction is both a smart financial move and showcases companies’ responsible resource management.

Visual Intelligence will also make it possible for users to perform a visual Google search to identify objects, animals and products.

CAMERA

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models boast a new 48MP fusion camera system.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus now has a 2x telephoto option while the new12 MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus allows for wider shots and enables macro photography.

Also onboard are a range of new photographic styles which can adjust colour, highlights and shadows in real time.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus can also now shoot video with spatial audio to provide immersive listening through AirPods, Apple’s Vision Pro or a surround sound system.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max take the already powerful camera and make it even better thanks to a more efficient quad-pixel sensor.

The 5xtelephoto camera is also now available on both iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Last year this feature, made possible by the Tetra Prism lens, was only available with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max cameras now allow for 4K 120fps video recording in Slo-Mo or Video mode and users can even adjust playback speed after capture in the Photos app.

The Pro models also have four new studio quality mics, with video now able to be captured with spatial audio to create an immersive experience to hear on AirPods and view on Apple Vision Pro.

Apple Intelligence will also come into play with the Pro cameras later this year so users are able to make use of a wide range of photo and editing capabilities as well as performing functions like adjusting the blur in the background of a photo just by asking for it.

PERFORMANCE

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are powered by the A18 chip – that’s a jump of two generations from the previous silicon – so it can do the heavy lifting when it comes to powering graphics and playing games.

Meanwhile the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max include the new A18 Pro chip which delivers a whole new level of compute power to the device to power features like Apple Intelligence and gaming and creating an even higher power efficiency.

Apple has unveiled its latest Apple Watch Series 10 with its largest and most advanced wearable display, a thinner design and remarkable new health and wellness features including the ability to detect sleep apnea.

Apple also revealed an updated Apple Watch Ultra 2 which includes an all-new colour and finish.

Apple Watch Series 10 will go on sale on September 20 and start at $649.

It will be available in two new finishes – aluminium (silver, jet black and rose gold) and polished titanium (natural, gold and slate).

The updated Apple Watch Ultra 2 will also go on sale on September 20 and will be priced from $1,399.

APPLE WATCH SERIES 10

The Apple Watch Series 10 now has a larger display (46mm) than the Apple Watch Ultra 2 to offer up to 9 per cent more active screen area than Series 7, Series 8 and Series 9.

Screen sizes for Apple Watch Series 10 have increased from 41mm and 45mm to the new 42mm and 46mm.

It is also the first Apple product to include a new wide-angle OLED display which makes it brighter and easier to read at an angle including when your hand is in your lap, by your side and while you’re exercising.

But not only does it have a larger display it is also nearly 10 per cent thinner than previous models which was achieved by integrating the antenna into the housing of the device itself to join two layers into one.

Apple Watch is powered by the new S10 SiP chip which powers features like double tap, on device Siri, dictation, the ability to automatically detect your workout and detect safety features like fall and crash detection.

Apple Watch Series 10 also includes a depth gauge and temperature sensing when you hit the water along with the Tides app.

The depth gauge can go down as far as six metres beneath the surface which makes it a great companion for snorkelling and shallow diving.

Apple Watch Series 10 will also have faster charging capabilities thanks to a larger and more efficient charging coil.

This means users can get the battery up to 80 per cent charge in around 30 minutes.

Users can now play audio through the Apple Watch Series 10 speakers in the same way they can hear their phone calls.

This means you can hear music, podcasts and audiobooks right from the Apple Watch Series 10 without earphones.

Among the new features with the new watchOS 11 is the ability to detect sleep apnea – a condition undiagnosed by 80 per cent of sufferers.

Apple Watch uses the accelerometer on board to monitor a newly created metric called breathing disturbances.

Every 30 days, Apple Watch will analyse this data and notify you if it shows signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea and provide a detailed report you can show a doctor.

This feature will be available in Australia after regulatory approval.

APPLE WATCH ULTRA 2

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is now available in a new black titanium finish and with new bands.

The new black titanium finished is achieved with a new blasting process and diamond-like carbon physical vapour deposition coating over the Grade 5 titanium.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 is aimed users who want an elevated experience when it comes to fitness and outdoor activity in all terrains and in the water.

Apple says its GPS accuracy is the most accurate in a sportswatch so it can offer more accurate distance, route maps and other metrics.

On the sport and fitness side Apple Watch Ultra 2 is an ideal match for runners, cyclists, swimmers, hikers, divers and golfers.

The latest version of Apple Watch Ultra 2 also supports audio playback of content through the device’s speakers.

The Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 go on sale on Friday September 20.

Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Ring unveiled at its Unpacked launch event in Paris in July will be released in Australia in mid-October.

In fact, Australia will be the first country in the South-East Asia and Oceania region to receive Samsung’s impressive new wearable device.

Galaxy Ring is designed to be worn 24/7 to collect data and gather insights into your health and wellness.

All the data collected will be viewable in the Samsung Health app – a single free platform which allows users to monitor their health and fitness patterns and look for ways to improve it.

Sleep analysis will be a major part of the wellness analysis with Samsung bringing a new sleep AI algorithm to Galaxy Ring so it can understand your sleep quality and build better sleep habits.

Galaxy Ring will be able to even analyse your snoring and introduce new metrics including movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart and respiratory rate which all add up to a detailed and accurate analysis of your sleep quality.

It also has cycle tracking so women can also track their menstrual cycle.

But Galaxy Ring isn’t just about keeping an eye on your sleep, it can also give you information about your heart health with heart rate alerts which offers instant notifications for unusually high or low heart rates in real time via the Samsung Health app.

Users could also find out more about their heart rate including beats per minute, times starting time duration with live heart rate check.

Galaxy Ring can see when you’re working out through the Auto Workout Detection and offer daily prompts if you’re being inactive.

When paired to a Galaxy smartphone, users can use a double pinch via gestures to take photos or dismiss alarms.

And if you happen to misplace the Galaxy Ring you can find it via your Galaxy smartphone with Find My Ring on Samsung Find.

It will be available in three colour choices, Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold, Galaxy and has a lightweight concave design.

Galaxy Ring will be available in nine sizes – from five to 13 – and customers can access a sizing kit as part of the purchase process to ensure it is a perfect when they receive it.

Here’s what customers need to do when they receive the Galaxy Ring sizing kit:

– Pick a size, try it on. Check the position of the three sensors on the bottom and the indicator on the outer surface. Wear the sample ring so that the sensors are facing up. Make sure the indicator is also on the palm side.

– When you find one that feels right, move your fingers around. Finger sizes can change from day to night, so it’s recommended to keep the ring on for at least 24 hours. Go about your day and sleep through the night.

– If your finger feels comfortable after 24 hours, that’s your Galaxy Ring size.

Pricing and precise release date is yet to be announced.

Customers can register their interest in Galaxy Ring here.

We’ve seen DJI release many drones over the years but its latest can fit in the palm of your hand and be used without a remote control. It’s the DJI Neo which weighs in at just 135g and can take your selfies to a whole new level.

Priced at $299, the DJI Neo brings all the features we’ve come to expect from the companies drones and packs them into the smallest and lightest unit it has ever produced.

“At DJI we are always studying everyday camera use so that we can help people capture their videos and photos in the most convenient way possible,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Creative Director at DJI.

“The DJI Neo strives to give people the latest tech in the smallest form factor so that they can capture their daily lives, saved as treasured memories, safely and with ease.”

The DJI Neo includes features like AI subject tracking, Quickshots and offers 4K stabilised video with the flight time of up to 18 minutes.

And there’s no need to have a remote control.

All you need to do is press the drone’s mode button to select your desired shooting method and the DJI Neo does the rest.

It will take off from the palm of your hand.

But it can also be paired with the DJI Fly app and DJI remote controls if you want increased flight and camera control.

Also onboard is a wi-fi connection so you can easily control DJI Neo with your smartphone on the DJI Fly app interface.

Under the hood is 22GB of internal storage which is enough to save up to 40 minutes of 4K video or 55 minutes of Full HD.

And users can transfer footage and images directly to their smartphone thanks to its on board wi-fi connection.

Users can also record audio by connecting the drone to their smartphone and using the internal microphone so it’s ideal for those up close selfie videos.

And if you want additional quality, the DJI Mic 2 can be used via a Bluetooth connection.

The Neo also has DJI’s Quickshots at your fingertips including:

– Dronie: The drone flies backward and ascends, with the camera locked on the subject, and records a video.

– Circle: The drone circles around the subject.

– Rocket: The drone ascends with the camera pointing downward.

– Spotlight: The drone rotates while keeping the object of interest within the frame

– Helix: The drone ascends and spirals around the subject.

– Boomerang: The drone flies around the subject in an oval path, ascending as it flies away from its starting point and descending as it flies back. The aircraft’s starting point forms one end of the oval’s long axis, while the other end is at the subject’s opposite side from the starting point.

The DJI Neo is priced at $299 and the DJI Neo Fly More Combo is available for $539.

Stay tuned to Tech Guide for a complete review of the DJI Neo in the coming weeks.
